All management and funds of the calcutta auction will be solely handled by Flatland Freight staff and is completely independent of The Rawls Course, CASA of the South Plains and respective staffs. We are paying out 100% of funds raised, Flatland Freight will not be taking a commission
This auction will be open to anyone (not just participants) wanting to bid and approved by Flatland Freight. We reserve the right to kick out any bidder not readily willing to identify themselves when asked. Bidding on each flight will end at a different 40 minute interval over Wednesday evening 8/16/2023. It should be noted that if a team receives a bid with less than 2 minutes left, the timer on that team will extend another 2 minutes from that point. This will go on forever until y'all stop bidding. In the common event that a tournament participant does not win their own team in the auction, the team participants will be given the name and phone number of the winning bidder to negotiate a buy-in of their own team. This negotiation process is encouraged as it encourages your purchased team to play well. Also a note for players, the cash in the regular prize pool isn't a whole lot to get fired up about so it's encouraged to buy at least a portion of your team to make this weekend worthwhile. ***Also please note that the website will log you out on occasion for what seems to be no reason at all. If something doesn't seem to be acting right or a situation is too good to be true, you're likely logged out and you need to refresh you page. Winning bidder is whoever I see on the back end database, period. Screenshots showing you won a team otherwise will not be accepted.
Calcutta will pay as a percent of the pot as follows for the CHAMPIONSHIP AND PRESIDENT'S Flights:
45% - 1st place (WWW)
25% - 2nd place (WWL)
15% - 3rd place (WLW)
15% - Consolation place (LWW)
Payouts for all other flights (16 team brackets) will be as follows:
40% - WWWW
20% - WWWL
10% - WWL x 2 teams in this situation
5% - WLW x 2 teams in this situation
5% - LWW x 2 teams in this situation
Please promptly arrange to settle up your auction bill with one of the staff at Flatland Freight, CASH ONLY. Deadline to settle your bill is Friday at 9:30 am. You can find us at our office at 12222 University Avenue or find Lindsey around Rawls on Friday morning.
